ABOUT US

Our Mission

Live Like Dji provides healing centered care that honors the body, mind, and spirit through every season.  We offer yoga, prenatal support, birth support (doula services) postpartum care (postpartum doula), lactation services, and education rooted in compassion, movement, and experience. Our mission is to support women in reconnecting to themselves-with breath, balance, and belonging.

Core Values

  • Healing Over Hustle

Rest and recovery come first. Healing is honored without pressure to rush or perform

  • Presence is a Practice

Meeting each moment as it is. Attention becomes healing, and presence reclaims power.

  • Joy and Wholeness

Strength and joy are centered. Wholeness exists alongside the work of healing.

  • Empowerment Through Education

Tools over rules. Understanding the body builds confidence, choice, and self trust.

  • Movement as Medicine

Breath and movement bring clarity, strength, and release. Reconnection over escape.

  • Rooted in Rhythm

Natural cycles of the body, motherhood, and life are honored. Flow is chosen over force.

ABOUT JESELENE

Jeselene’s yoga journey began in India while working in rural villages with women to promote maternal health. Her host mother, who practiced yoga each morning, invited her to join and over the course of four transformative months, her relationship with yoga blossomed. When she returned to the States, her practice deepened into a lifelong path of movement, mindfulness, and service.

Through her teaching, Jeselene creates open and grounded practices that help the mind connect with the physical body, leaving students feeling clear, balanced, and aware. Her classes focus on maintaining steady energy and a consistent rhythm of breath, tools that help identify and release areas of tension both on the mat and in daily life. She is passionate about making yoga accessible for all bodies, levels, and life stages, with a special focus on expecting and postpartum mothers.

Jeselene draws from various yoga traditions including Ashtanga, Dharma, and Yin, offering an intentional blend of structure, flow, and restoration. She is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher through Roots Love Yoga School under the guidance of Marie Belle Perez Rivera, with additional studies in anatomy, functional medicine, Ashtanga, and pre- and postnatal yoga. She continues to practice Mysore daily and teaches weekly.

Jeselene serves as Lead Teacher for Urban Yogic Wellness & Education’s 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, where she mentors new instructors in the philosophy, discipline, and heart of yoga.

A Certified Perinatal Community Health Worker and Lactation Specialist, Jeselene is currently pursuing her IBCLC certification. Her passion for perinatal wellness is deeply personal shaped by her experience of two unique pregnancies, one home birth and one hospital birth and by her journey as a mother of three girls.

Holding a B.A. in Community Health & Biology and a Master of Public Health, Jeselene integrates her academic background with holistic care, movement, and education to empower humans through every phase of life.
